Electrotechnology Learning Paths

The SPARKLE project is developing comprehensive training programs specifically tailored to address the skills gap in the electrotechnical sector in Uganda and Sierra Leone, with particular focus on applications in healthcare facilities.

Our training pathways are being structured according to European Qualification Framework (EQF) levels 3, 4, and 5, and will be organized into self-contained basic and specialized modules. These modules will be specifically designed for different target groups, including both employed and unemployed/underemployed individuals.

Coming Soon: The SPARKLE electrotechnology learning path will include learning outcomes, content guidelines, duration specifications, recommended teaching methodologies, and reference resources specific to each EQF level. All materials will be accessible through the SPARKLE Digital Open Space - a sophisticated OER platform designed for comprehensive learning.

Training Features

The SPARKLE electrotechnology learning path will incorporate several key features to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

Training Features

Key Elements of Our Training

  • ESCO Alignment: Training materials will be constructed according to terminology adopted by the ESCO portal
  • EQF Integration: Clear alignment with European Qualification Framework levels 3, 4, and 5
  • Modular Structure: Self-contained modules that can be combined according to learner needs
  • Healthcare Focus: Specialized content for electrotechnicians working in health facilities
  • Multi-format Resources: Including video recordings, presentations, guidelines, and checklists
  • Self-Assessment Tools: Based on Europass and European Digital Credential approaches

All training materials will be validated through extensive testing with both TVET staff and end-users to ensure they effectively address the identified skills gaps and are suitable for the local context.
